It's really annoying when a flack says stuff like, "I'm not going to comment on ..."

Biden's flack Miller said that when questioned about Israel's attack on Damascus. The question was if the White House was informed of the attack before it happened.

Who the fuck is this asshat to say he's not going to comment on something? If the people ask this fucking dick a question, he provides a truthful answer or posits are reason why he "can't" talk about it. The WH knows if they were informed of the attack before it happened.

If we actually had a Press rather this corporate shitshow, things would be different. The press response to these non-answers are always, "OK. I understand that I'm a whore for capitalists and they don't want me to cause a stir."

If I could ask Biden one question: If you're not a fascist, why do you keep doing fascism?

Israel genocide in Gaza.
Militarizing the southern border.
Militarizing the police.
Spending $1 trillion on national defense.

Do you think the Texas governor is overcompensating with his fascism because he's afraid when the fascists fully take over, people in the wheelchairs might not make it?

He might just truly love to hate, I don't know.

Any fantasy about toppling the US government in some sort of violent revolution is not a good plan. There's no way we can outgun the federal government, or even most police departments.

My prediction is that this house of cards the capitalists built will come crashing down. That's something we can take advantage of if we're prepared.

But a direct confrontation with the US military and federal law enforcement is just a good way to get a bunch of people killed.

arrrg,
@arrrg@kolektiva.social avatar

@CosmicTrigger And I know it's hard for some people to believe, but there are cops who aren't fascists. I know this for a fact because someone I grew up with became a cop. Are they confused? Yes, but they're not actually fascists. If law enforcement were forced to take sides, they all wouldn't take their side.

Yeah, that's why Biden should end the genocide in Gaza, for the environment. It's not because babies are being slaughtered. It's to protect the climate. That's like the most fucked up take I've ever heard.

We better stop this war, or it might impact our lives.

Democrats won't like to hear this, but according to my preliminary analysis, if Democrats win all of the races they could win, they will have a net loss of one senate seat in this November's elections.

That puts the senate at 50/50 Dems versus Republicans, with the Vice President as the tie-breaker.

Couple this with the reality that Biden is just as likely to lose in November as win, and it's bad news for Democrats.

Democrats couldn't modernize, but now the demographics are breaking hard against the party. Everyone assumed that the shifting demographics would hurt Republicans more than Democrats. It didn't turn out that way, Republicans got ahead of the problem and for decades they've been appealing directly to racist white people. They're stoking a race war and filling their ranks with more racist white people. This nation produces more white racists than it does F-150s.

A declining birth rate is almost always seen in MSM as a bad thing, for humans. But considering the growth of the human population on earth over the last 500 years, how could that be sustainable? At some point we run out of resources right? Or are people just assuming that there will be some sort of mass extinction event that wipes out tens of millions of people.

I've never understood the benefit of having more people on earth. Are we all vastly better off today with 8 billion humans versus 1960 with 3 billion?

We're adding a 1 billion people to the planet every 15 to 20 years. I'm not suggesting people be discouraged from having kids. But maybe not tell people it's better to have constant population growth on a planet that his limited resources.

AOC sticks with the lie that Israel has a "right to defend itself." The problem with that is that it's not true that Israel has a right to take the life of even one Palestinian. Even members of Hamas should not be killed. These people are oppressed people who have been living under occupation for decades. What they feel they need to do to free themselves is justified. Israel could stop ALL of the violence today by agreeing to return the land that Israelis stole from Palestinians.

Here's the story from Al Jazeera: US Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has labelled the Israeli military’s actions in Gaza as “forced famine” and “collective punishment”.

“There is no targeting of Hamas in precipitating a mass famine of a million people, half of whom are children,” Ocasio-Cortez said on CNN.

“It is horrific. The actions of Hamas do not justify forcing thousands, hundreds of thousands of people to eat grass as their bodies consume themselves.

“The Israeli government has a right to go after Hamas, but we are talking about a population of millions of innocent Palestinians. We are talking about collective punishment.”
