atest123,

It might be an issue with concentricity. If the nozzle is not perfectly centered it creates a step that the filament can snag on. It can then cause the already softened filament to bunch up during deretraction forming a plug in the heat break. I had this issue with cheap nozzles. Everything starts fine and after a few layers it all stops for apparently no reason. Cranking up the heat makes it better for a bit, before making it worse

atest123,

Thanks. I reported it too. I have written off the money, but the principle remains. Scammers will keep scamming and should be squashed.

atest123,

Generally I would agree, and give them the benefit of the doubt, but it smells too fishy. A lot of goodwill was pumped up during testflight, but went dead very soon after money got involved, almost a full 180 and with barely a word afterwards. For all intents and purposes they still took the money and ran

atest123,

Gorgeous! That was an immediate buy. Any tips on where to get a nice frame?

atest123, (edited )

Thanks! I’m in Belgium, so location recommandations are welcome, too. The 70x100 frames I found so far are frightfully expensive. It feels ord to spend more on the frame than the art it contains. That said, I would spend the money rather than doing the print the disservice of housing it in a cheap looking frame

atest123,

Almost perfect! Of course Akansas should be Nebrahoma. Rookie mistake, but great work otherwise! Gold star

atest123,

I hate it too. It should be life/work balance. Life comes first. Work to live, not live to work

atest123,

I am skeptical and don’t expect much. At this point I have all but written off my lifetime membership. In retrospect, it was rather suspicious how quickly went from TestFlight to full release. Communication was almost insulting. Shit happens, but informing as setbacks happen (however brief) garners so much more goodwill than going silent and then posting an apology, especially if you let someone else do it and even more so right after starting to charge for features that were previously free on an app that while looking polished had serious issues with stability and memory leaks

Regardless of the circumstances and events, this way of doing things completely destroys credibility and trust in the future of the product and the developer.

I really want it to succeed and hope the developer really puts in sufficient remedial action to somewhat mend the damage done, but at this point I am not holding much hope for little more than the bare minimum, if anything

Rishi Sunak Reportedly Said "It Was Okay To Just Let People Die" Rather than Impose a Second Lockdown, Covid Inquiry Hears (www.ndtv.com)

@adhd @adhd

You know that thing where you've put off a task for a geological age because it looked so damn intimidating?

And then you've decided you're going to do PART of it and you actually do it...

And you're accomplishing shit, you're in The Zone, no lie, but you also realize why you put it off for so long.

atest123,

You are doing the thing! That is what matters.

New to 3d printing, my ender 3 is having problems with thermal runaway and doesn't seem to be able to keep a consistent temperature when I begin printing. (lemmy.world)

It however does not have issues maintaining the temperature when it’s not actually printing. I can set my hotend to 215 before beggining my print and it’s happy to sit there....

atest123,

That looks like a failing thermistor or heater cartridge. You might want to swap out both the thermistor and the heater cartridge at the same time. Had something similar happen to me and it turned out the failure of the one, likely influenced the other to wear out prematurely. The cartridge wasn’t exactly broken, but seemed to have a less consistent response curve. You can test them separately, but they are cheap enough that it is not worth the hassle
