Yesterday (19/08/2023) everything worked fine. Today (20/08/2023) I can no longer login to Twitch using Firefox. I restarted browser and cleared cache. No change....

I live in South Korea where Samsung is and this is still very much a thing here as well. Galaxy phone’s are more and more becoming an old people phone.
I use Firefox and Firefox Mobile on the desktop and Android respectively, Chromium with Bromite patches on Android, and infrequently Brave on the desktop to get to sites that only work properly with Chromium (more and more often - another whole separate can of worms too, this…) And I always pay attention to disable google.com...
That’s a real bummer although fully understandable. I will always support lemmy.world.
I don’t get how people are this mad when you can literally always selfhost and have the experience you want to have. It’s not like they’re trying to censor everything like beehaw did. It’s protecting the instance from any legal consequences that is very real.
Selfhost because realistically any normal person with a passion of running an instance would(and, frankly, should) also be concerned with legal liabilities that comes with it.
If the mold is visible, that means that there are spores everywhere already. It’s fine though, for most of the times, for the hard cheeses like the others said. But it’s something that you should know.
I often go to some cities in Asia and sometimes will see someone who lives on the street. Many times they are sleeping during the day since it’s so hot and sometimes they look malnourished too. What would be the best foods I could provide them (assuming some restaurants or convenience stores are nearby) which would not spoil?
I am trying to get my own custom domain. However for my name with all the major tlds such as .com .net .io and such, @firstnamelastname.tld and @lastname.tld are taken. I don’t want to have a less trusted tld such as .xyz and would rather stick with the popular ones. Only my first name without the .com tld is not taken, so...
Quite a lot of websites don’t like the idea of illegitimate email providers, which led to distributed inboxes which, frankly, can be solved with simple solutions but wasn’t really that ideal.
Say I have a public server with a service (email, web server, etc) that’s accessible through myservice.example.com, and I would like to restrict that service with a VPN. How do I do that?...
It came as such a shocking event because this really almost never happens.
I personally have never seen anyone getting arrested. Never seen anyone got hurt because of criminal activity. Never heard anyone close to me involved in any violent crime. I just couldn’t imagine getting attacked by anyone let alone by some random person.
Korean society is very trusting, if not way too much.
Like, I’m on a plane. I don’t want to watch Toy Story when I can do that at home, I want to see what the pilots see. And that way every seat has technically a window to look out of.

What foods would be best to give to someone living on the streets in a very hot/humid country?

Can mp4 or mkv files contain virus?
when downloading movies, series and anime they mostly come in those formats. Can they contain virus? if yes, do they get detected with antivirus?

Instead of movies and crappy games on those in-flight displays, they should just stream the view out the cockpit window.
