Any observable-plot (/d3js) enthusiast here? Do you think this custom block matrix display would be straight-forward to re-create? (it's currently in ggplot2)

The basic idea is easy, but the custom grid lines and axis breaks take a bit of effort, so I'm not sure how deep I would have to dig with Plot?

How do you insert a thin (1/6em) space between number and unit in ?

U+202F NARROW NO-BREAK SPACE
or
, inside a math formula (noting that siunitx isn't available in mathjax)
or something else?
(I am almost tempted to insert a visible symbol with a keyboard shortcut, such as ␣, and have a lua filter replace it on the fly with U+202F before rendering.

Really enjoying this 'Wildwood Gold' black @tea

Gushu Dianhong from Mei Leaf

It's sold out unfortunately, might try to get some elsewhere but that's usually a terrible idea: “A teapet cannot steep into the same tea twice, because it is not the same tea, and he is not same teapet.“

@tea Happy to report that teapet is, in fact, quite happily basking in a golden Jin Ya Dian Hong from path of cha

baptnz,
@baptnz@vis.social avatar

@tea I'm too addicted, I think I might try pathofcha's version – any thoughts? or other tea to get in the same shipment?

  • 2013 Shou Mei White Tea Cake
  • Blooming jasmine flower tea
  • Osmanthus scented Tie Guan Yin
  • Long Jing

The aged white definitely made an impression on people new to unbagged tea

Below is a custom writer that behaves like a built-in writer. It can serve as the basis for a modified writer, e.g., one with a programmatically modified template.
https://pandoc.org/custom-writers

local format = 'commonmark'

Extensions = pandoc.format.extensions(format)
Template = pandoc.template.default(format)
Writer = function (doc, opts)
return pandoc.write(doc, {format=format, extensions=opts.extensions}, opts)
end

baptnz,
@baptnz@vis.social avatar

@pandoc Do you have an example where the writer is modified for just one type of element? If I understand correctly, I could use, say, the default typst writer implemented in Haskell, but overwrite the formatting of one type of element with a custom Lua function instead?
