Could /probably/ have gotten away with only, idk, 3 days of this instead of 5? since I think current variants have shorter incubation times.

but by day 3.5 of "yup I just live in my home office/den now” it feels dumb to cut corners instead of riding it out another couple days 🤷🏻‍♂️ Especially since we're gonna go see my brand new niece today.

(He says, as if her parents were probably not exposing her to higher COVID risk on the daily 😩)

@Elucidating in this subthread I will share that thought, which was: ok, I have to imagine it (gamin' on loonix) a SIGNIFICANTLY better time than it was in the 2000s. In no small part due to Valve's recent influence (maybe?).

But I also still have to imagine that since I put up with nonzero jank on Windows-gaming already, said jank levels must surely still be higher on Linux?

@onelson yea, I was going to say something like "but in the future who knows what Sony would expose me to”, but realized this applies to literally everything - including Nintendo, Apple, Valve even.

I guess maybe not one of those totally open source hardware phones or laptops, you know, the ones that uniformly suck ass.
