Gotta love that the Python script to generate one of the wallpapers is open source and shared :)

That was a really interesting article, thank you for sharing it!

PC Spotify -> Schiit Modi -> Schiit Vali 2 -> PreSonus Eris E4.5 speakers.

Or

Pixel 8 Pro Spotify -> “TempoTec Sonata HD PRO” USB DAC -> Meze 99 Classic headphones.

Does anyone think it’s worth moving to Tidal for my music?

Also, I’m running out of space on my desk. I can put the stack of Schiit on top of a speaker with minimal effects, right?

Love the Meze 99 Classics, worth every penny!

Not trying to say your temperature is not brutal, single digit Celsius can be really nasty for humans. In Michigan in the USA, it can reach -20c in winter, and -40 with high wind chill. You learn to layer and use wind proof outer layers very quickly!

I wasn’t offended at all, I was just sympathizing with you, but I must have expressed it poorly because I got those downvotes.

I really liked reading this thread, thank you for making it!

In the USA, there’s a huge difference in winter temperatures across the country. In Florida they might consider it cold if it’s 10 Celsius, and in Minnesota that would be considered very warm! It’s really weird how much the human body can adapt and get used to a temperature. Personally I like it best at 50 fahrenheit / 10 Celsius.

Keep on making posts!

With an endorsement like that, you can’t go wrong!

Check out the keychron site. Multiple keyboards that fit your requirements except the USB hub.

I use a yubikey daily too. I have a USB hub that clamps to the edge of my desk, so I can leave the yubikey in there with no extra mess.

Not this specific one, but you get the general idea: www.amazon.com/…/B0CNKQMXFD/

Firefox bookmarks have tags, which is way more than most browsers.

bloopernova,
@bloopernova@programming.dev avatar

The tags only work with Firefox browsers, but they’re stored in a SQLite database. So there’s potentially a method for extracting them or syncing them. I’d like to figure that out so I can sync tags between my Emacs org-roam database and Firefox.

Does running E:D on Linux work ok with joysticks, throttles, and pedals?

(I have a warthog stick, thrustmaster pedals, and CH Pro throttle)

Did Tim Blake Nelson play Fenring or Scytale in the second movie?

…greatest lay I ever had

Britpop and electronica was my jam in the late 90s, so much great music from that time.

Strip mining a planet, refining raw materials, building factories, and researching new technology. All to build a rocket to get off said planet.

Was thinking this would be a Steven Universe post. I miss that show, and Peridot, little space dorito.

I want an electric Subaru Outback or Forester. Something that can be driven off road to a campground, pull a trailer if needed, and has enough range to get me from Ann Arbor to the upper peninsula with minimal charging. Seats and trunk that I can hose out after a muddy dog park excursion would be great too.

Thank you for the informative comment, much appreciated!

Exactly what I do. I use Angels and Bobs mods for a huge amount of stuff to do, loads of trains (almost 1,000 in my current playthrough!), and loads of stuff to build.

It’s heavenly!

I am sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but reddit almost certainly has backups. Plus they could have an archive of every comment ever made.
