The reason was because I spammed according to reddit, but the reality is that they have censored me because I was hurting Reddit....
There’s a pretty strong contingent of Marxists, Leninists, and left-leaning people in the federated lemmy network, yes. I like it a lot more than Reddit and their coddling of the actually dangerous to society as a whole far-right, built I just found it ironic you came to lemmy to get away from the left lol.
When I view the All feed, is it just displaying all posts on the local instance I’m logged in to, or does it display posts from all federated instances?...
I feel like I remember there being a lot of pushback against flatpak even as recently as a few years ago. Wasn’t there a strong preference for programs to be in mainline repos or something like the Arch AUR?
I know the AUR is being depreciated soon. Was there a major shift in receptiveness to flatpaks or something? From a security point of view I feel like the baked in sandboxing of flatpak binaries is probably a strong selling point.
I’ve spent like 20 minutes trying to figure out what lodged that thought in my brain and I can’t find anything. I think maybe I mixed up a Kali extras repo or something, but can’t find any mention of that either, so clearly I'm losing it.
Is there some array that links a specific float value to a gender? Storing something like that as a float and having to look it up outside the object itself to determine it’s actual value seems like bad practice to mezcal but I’m not a developer by trade.

Also that might be one of the least credible websites I have ever seen in my life. It’s not even a news website, it’s nominally dedicated to the “strange trumpet sounds heralding the Rapture that have been heard in the skies throughout the world”. If you’re going to spout off misinformation at least take the time to stand up a website that looks professional and claims to be some sort of human rights watchdog or something, because that bit of bottled schizophrenia is not it.

War crimes are not ok, and have been committed by both sides. Any perpetrator of a war crime, regardless of allegiance, should be tried and appropriately punished if convicted.
Putin can end this war by pulling back his troops. I do not support the invasion of sovereign nations, just as I don’t support the violation of an individual’s sovereignty over themselves.
This will obviously not happen, so I don’t know why people keep repeating this as if it has any meaning.

That’s rich, coming from someone who lives in the West. To be fair explicitly clear, I don’t agree with the lack of accountability in the west. I don’t agree with Bush’s foreign policy, I don’t agree with the expansion of drone strikes by Obama, I don’t agree with the Iranian assassination ordered by Trump, and I don’t agree with Biden’s use of drone strikes.
You seem to be under the impression that the sins of the US absolve Putin and his troops. It just makes them all terrible. I can see that we’ll never agree to anything here, so I’ll bring some clojure to it on my end at least and just stop responding. I can’t say I’ve enjoyed our conversation, but I’m appreciative of the opportunity to have had it.
I came from using Apollo as my client for Reddit, so I whole-heartedly support adhering to the iOS design language, and ensuring the app’s aesthetic feels like it fits in the iOS ecosystem.
On the name note, I honestly thought it was “M” for mobile and “Lem” for Lemmy. The actual intent behind mlem makes so much more sense, and I like it so much more. Maybe stylizing it in all lower case would help people make that association faster? Idk.

The dev pretty clearly stated that it isn't an issue of mandating a subscription, because even with one the API pricing is too high for it to make sense.
Yeah, reddit on mobile makes me want to gouge out my eyes then roll through shattered glass.
The only issue I've found with lemmy on mobile is remembering collapsed comments, or not jumping back to the same comment when you accidentally click a link that doesn't open in a new tab.
I was just using it in my mobile browser, the site is remarkably more functional this way than reddit ever was. It was nice enough that I'm not sure whether I'll feel like I actually need an app or not. I'm on iOS , and I've seen a lot of people mentioning Mlem. I'll probably try it out at some point soon just for comparisons sake.
