About ~8 years ago I bought this VE Monk Plus. Daily used for 12h during the first years and, the last 5, for about 8-9 hours for music and meetings.

Still working like the first day. It costs me 8€.

VE remains the only decent budget manufacturer for earbuds today it seems, @captainepoch, got an SPC last year but I managed to tore out the cabled from the buds by accident :floofCry:

Technically yes, @captainepoch, but that’d involve fitting the cable through the tight fitting tunnel in the housing. I struggle to imagine how they constructed it in the first place.

every project invents it’s own bad way to download dependencies and other stupid things

That’s in no way CMake’s fault, @bonifartius, I’ve seen people putting that abomination in Makefile and even straight up invent their own build.sh. The reason you see more people doing that shit with CMake than Autotools is that CMake is simply more popular with the younger crowd that are likely recently migrated from dystopian hellholes like Windows or macOS and don’t care to integrate to the local culture.

@bonifartius, I always patch those downloads to local lib first thing, but I imagine it can be painful if the dependency chain does that.

there seems to be zero PL books translated into korean. in fact classics like htdp, clrs, dragon book are also not in korean. I should not do what my brain wants me to do

i don’t speak ko but after spending a couple of years in kr i’m confident translations are just still en sprinkled with some ko fillers anyway
