google drive, getting away

So here is the issue, I use Google Drive because I am a writer who does a lot of writing. And I thought the cloud was a reliable way to store my writing, however now Google is looking through it’s to train their ai. And I’m worried about that, especially since I have written a lot of questionable content, porn and the like....

confetti_8tVST5,

Not sure about 10 years, but some alternatives would be proton drive (already end to end encrypted and trusted), dropbox, mega, and onedrive regardless to what cloud storage provider you use I would encrypt first using something like cryptomator just keep local backups as you should be.

Full screen bar on mull browser

Hey I honestly dont know where else to ask this but was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a bar when watching something in full screen via mull browser? Not a deal breaker but just wanted to know if its just an issue on my device or a bug overall. I apologize if this question isnt on brand with this instance haha...

Wow “malignant tumors.” If it hasn’t been said yet to you, internet points arent real, buddy. Good luck with the future

If you don't mind me asking what is so important about privacy?

What harm does public data have to you? Couldn’t one just ignore the ads? You can’t see anyone watching you, is public data good for public records? (I’m just curious). I know this sounds weird but is public data good for historical preservation and knowledge increasing the importance of the individual? And does public...

Feel like this is just a bait post but if theres a chance it isnt, mostly for me its the principle of things. I think its my god given right to be in control of what my name or my identity is tied to and I feel that should be the norm. It was never just about the ads, its about the information thats being collected and if I can control it

On special occasion when I’m really down in the dumps, I just turn off the lights in my bathroom, turn some music on and lie down in the tub with the shower head turned on, Its like my own special world. The more weekly self care I do now is face lathering with my boar brush and having a great shave. The heat from the water, the feel of the bristles on my face and the smell of my proraso cream just relaxes me beyond belief. It honestly helps me get through the day a bit better.

They couldnt handle the weight of the relationship

confetti_8tVST5,

My uneducated opinion is out of those 3, a samurai would have the least amount of problems and the better food based on tasting history on yt

confetti_8tVST5,

The official answer is no personal device should be considered safe if its no longer recieving security updates due to potential, unknown vulnerbilities. Just my opinion its totally suitable as a backup phone just dont do any sensitive work on it, banking and email being the big ones. As for the second part of the question, depends on how/who is targeting you, if you practice poor internet habits and if an exploit or vulnerability has been found for your device.

confetti_8tVST5,

A more privacy friendly alternative is Newpipe: no ads, background playing and theres a version with sponsorblock afaik if you would like that

confetti_8tVST5,

Since the question has already been answered I can only give my opinion. Honestly Its the only cloud based password manager I trust. I was a customer for a couple of years until I decided to try keepassxc but my opinion has not changed about bitwarden. Havent tried vaultwarden

confetti_8tVST5,

I know they were in hot water because of eufy but I honestly still love my anker products. I honestly trust the power delivery or passthrough (whatever its called) but I guess the same can be said about any other hub that has the proper certifications so just make note of that when looking at products. Havent read the article yet in case its mentioned in there but I’ll skim it in the mornin. Good luck!

confetti_8tVST5,
  • Useful: Times tables/math formulas if you havent already.
  • Fun: the way to solve a rubik’s cube so you can show off
confetti_8tVST5,

Its been less frustrating since I moved to a password manager

confetti_8tVST5,

Awesome I use kdeconnect similarly to not get out of bed haha

Anyone using a thinkpad t430 with nvidia 390 drivers?

Hey Im new to the linux world and I was planning to give popos a try on my trusty t430 but heard it doesnt play nice with the dedicated gpu, the NVS-5400M. I was wondering if theres any weight to that claim or has that been blown out of proportion? I guess using integrated graphics or nouveau might be a workaround but I would...

Which prepaid carrier/s offers the best 2fa and protection from unauthorized changes

I'm currently on mint mobile and they offer 2fa via totp though they're really vague on how they handle 2fa on their end. I do know that whatever system they have works based off of the post on their subreddit with people locking themselves out when they lose their phones. However, if you know a carrier that has a more or...

How to get started with Monero

I've see many people mention monero in similar discussion forums many times. As a person who only ever uses cash for most of their transactions besides the ones online, how does one get started in acquiring monero? I have no idea and would like to know if theres reliable/reputable sources for information thats extremely noob...

two factor authentication available?

Dumb question but is there a way to add 2fa to my account or did I have to register with an email or something? I just created this account to test out so deleting it won’t be a massive chore if I have to remake it. Hope this is the right community to ask questions haha...
