So, Windows Subsystem for Linux.

I generally like it. If I want to do Linux-shaped things on a Windows machine, which I often do, then even WSL1 is both faster, and a more faithful imitation, than Cygwin. And WSL2 is better still, on both counts. Plus you get to pick the distro of your choice. I haven't used Cygwin in years.

But I can't shake the feeling that if SQL is pronounced 'sequel', then WSL ought to be pronounced 'weasel'.

Kudos to Silca and their friends at Purdue university for the release of their new Stripchip which oleogelates the factory oil on the new chain during extreme hot waxing, this sounds like an absolute game changer for waxing chains.

Strip chip and hot wax into a heater at 125°C, new chain in for 10 mins, turn to 75°C, once 75°C reached take out and let harden.

They also released a wax heater for roughly 4 times what you pay for a standard body wax heater.
