I'm slowly coming to the realization that I don't really like being alive. I don't like getting up, I don't really like going to bed, and I don't like being awake. I don't mean to be vague, I lost my job, my dream job and so far I'm going to have to start applying to go back to fast food to find a new job so I can pay rent. I feel like my world was a lie and I have no idea what my current world is or means. Everything seems pointless and one day melds into the other endlessly, pointlessly. I hear the call of the void calling to me. Perhaps if I were to go I'd get to see my ex-wife again, or her mother, and I miss them a lot. So, I don't really want to or like being alive anymore.

I don't even know why I'm posting this.

Looking for a job reveals how messed up America is in so many ways. So many scam jobs posted, even to reputable job sites. So many asking of illegal or near-illegal questions about disabilities and ethnicities that are sneaky. I hate looking for work, I like working, but hate looking for it. Can't we just have a human system? Like, geared toward humans working? I'm tired of the personality tests, the “why are you passionate" questions that are utterly meaningless. No one, NO ONE, is passionate about working a hotel front desk. If they are, worry.

Anyone else wish that there were like… Rent a family for Thanksgiving or Christmas? Like I’ll help you cook, I’ll even help clean up, but it would be nice to have somewhere to go on the holidays. My family is 3000 miles away. I know a lot of other people have it worse, especially servicemen and women in another country… So I don’t mean to belittle them.
