I miss the horses that used to be in a field across the road from us. They got moved out to make way for an exit off of a new highway. In the end, they changed the design and didn't even touch that field. 😕

@qurlyjoe excellent tip. Such organizations and those that support them are already beneficiaries of regular material donations, as well as, our estate in the end, but somehow I have never thought of toothbrushes. Duh.

@RickiTarr Yes. When I think back on my highschool years, they were interesting, fun, dangerous and scary at times, chaoticlly contradictory, alternate universe times, and I often still can't believe that they happened, and that I survived..
But I did.. somehow physically and mentally intact.. somewhat.

@RickiTarr Academic, math and science nerd, but also in the athlete crowd (an unofficial world record in track, qualified for Olympic team in boxing, and to totally add to the chaos, a druggie with dangerous connections, banned indefinitely from all school functions... and yet worked for the janitor and had a master key.. to everything.
I wore a plaid lumberjack jacket.

On a day when I don't feel like I'm near death, I find myself thinking of all the places we can go, things we can do, planning for the future..

The logical part of my brain steps in to reign in the enthusiasm, but I'm happy to know that the hopeful part is still in there.
