I was finding it odd that second hand Thinkpads x280 were cheaper than the x270.

It turns out that the x280 no longer has an external battery and the ram is not upgradable because it is soldered to the system board, with no sockets. What an utter rubbish.

Controverso, mas penso que há pouco a ganhar no combate à abstenção. Se alguém não está minimamente interessado em política, ou não vota porque não percebe nada de política, deixem-no lá estar sossegado. Porque se pressionarem muito a ir votar e não souber bem o que quer, o mais provável é dar ouvidos a populistas e aos seus clichés sobre os politicos e que é preciso fazer uma limpeza e etc. Só se for uma pessoa que saibam que não vai nisso. De resto, deixem abster.

Fui comprar as prendas de Natal ao final da tarde. Afluência bem aceitável no Ubbo, não estava o fim do mundo. Agora no centro comercial ao pé do Beatriz Ângelo, afluência bem abaixo da média. Hora de jantar e a zona de restauração tem montes de lugares vazios.
O truque disto é só comprar as prendas dia 23 à noite ou mesmo 24.

• AI service providers must fulfill (high level) transparency requirements;

(E já foi após a Black Friday).

Decidi então tentar tirar proveito do capitalismo de vigilância. Instalei a app e usei um pouco, mas sem criar conta. Pesquisei várias vezes sobre o tema, com login na google e sem plugins. Visitei vários sites de comparações e afins. Cliquei em alguns anúncios. Pensei que dentro de um mês ou dois ou três, pudessem oferecer algum desconto jeitoso. Deve ter demorado uns cinco dias: apareceu-me hoje um anúncio pago, a oferecer 60% de desconto. Sou um vendido :P

I've uninstalled Twitter.

Gonna try a detox, with fediverse as a nicotine patch. Twice now my finger has unconsciously gone to the place where the shortcut used to be. It's incredible, the addiction is real.

I'm still on Twitter, though. Its network cannot be replaced. But I'm only accessing on my PC. We'll see how it goes.
