I can see why you guessed that. Unfortunately it’s not the prompt used 😩

There it is!

I loved A Hat in Time. I grew up in that golden age of platformers and Hat definitely stands up in quality to those.

Still playing Shining Force 2, almost at the end. I read somewhere that Peter is the real main character and kind of agree.

I also started playing Sonic Adventure 2 because it looked cool and was less than $2, and omg, it might be the worst game I’ve ever played. I looked it up and it apparently was rushed, had a small team, and was made during a turbulent time at Sega. But it’s just bad. The controls are garbage, camera is even worse and sometimes does not let you move it to see where you’re going. The dialogue is thrown together poorly so the characters are often talking over each other in cutscenes. It’s a shame too because I can see the wasted potential. At least the chill Knuckles levels are still fun to play, and the music is memorable. I really hope the “Dark” path is better than the “Hero” path.

What exactly is it? A bag that can be used to inflate a mattress instead of using your breath?

I’ve never heard it called by that name before. But I’ve had a sleeping pad with that type of pump bag for a few years and it’s great. 10 pumps and it’s full.

I kind of like the name too!

The mat I have that came with a pump bag is the Klymit Double V. Pretty good, not bad.

Hooking up trucks side to side is not recommended and may result in serious injury, and in some cases death

Yeah, nobody wants to pay strata fees forever on top of their mortgage. Surprise.

[Meta] Do you think there's a downvote bot in this community?

I see a lot of posts here with zero or negative total votes. I posted one just a bit ago and it went to zero pretty quickly. I don’t personally care, but it seems curious. It’s not like this is a political community or something divisive. What would make someone downvote before they even know what the song is?

eezeebee,
@eezeebee@lemmy.ca avatar

I think some people have the setting on where when they interact with a post, that hides it from ever being shown to them again. And the quickest way to interact and hide something you don’t want to see would be the downvote button.

That would explain why it’s only ever a few downvotes here and there, compared to when someone posts something actually unpopular or offensive and it gets mass downvoted.

I don’t think the person you’re replying to is defending Loblaws, just saying we need to look at the right numbers to correctly call bullshit.

Here,

The company’s quarterly profit was $459 million, marking a 9.8 per cent increase.

What do you mean men are growing beards “again”? I haven’t noticed any trend between clean shaven / bearded. Some do, some don’t.

What are these "bass" and "treble" that I see in an equalizer ?

I am not an audio person, so do not have much idea about technical terms - but I hear the words “bass” and “treble” almost everywhere now, especially in the equalizer app that came with a new bluetooth earbuds that I bought (yes, I am still very much a wired-earbud guy, just dipping my toes in the wireless earbud ocean)....

Imagine a rainbow, but it’s made of sound. That’s the audible frequency spectrum which your equalizer represents.

How should I change my polite behavior to be more accommodating?

My parents raised me to always say “yes sir” and “no ma’am”, and I automatically say it to service workers and just about anyone with whom I’m not close that I interact with. I noticed recently that I had misgendered a cashier when saying something like “no thank you, ma’am” based on their appearing AFAB, but...

Yes please and no thank you

eezeebee,
@eezeebee@lemmy.ca avatar

To me, please and thank you are kind of the poster children for politeness. Like you can’t be polite without them.

Btw are you in the US? I’m in Canada and I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone say yes sir/no ma’am sincerely.

Very cool. I get some Mount Eerie vibes from it.

So many things…

Game of Thrones, right before the last season came out. Glad I didn’t have to wait for the disappointment.

Video games. I will wait 10 years to play a game I want so that the price goes down enough.

AFI’s Sing the Sorrow album, until I gave it a fair chance years later.
