@NumbersCanBeFun ok, so, krita, like any other layered paint software, can use an alpha channel for transparency
you can use that as is or you can use a layer without an alpha channel set to multiply mode to make the white parts transparent
if you are using an alpha channel, you want to modify that, and if it's not already separated, you can separate it from the context menu of the layer
if you're using multiply, just modify the layer itself
in the filters menu, adjust, pick Levels
levels is a tool that lets you remap the shadow and bright limits of your layer
what you want in this case is to move the dark point (left handle) into the first peak of the histogram graph displayed or close enough
you can see the effect on the image if the preview checkbox is on

A weird thing about my code is, there's a weird threshold. From the beginning of Ondskan 2 (the rewrite of my adaptive music software 7-ish years ago), I'm happy with my C# code. It's not amazing, but I understand it and happily refactor it up to the practices I use today. Anything before that I'm just like "oh nooo, this is terrible" even if it was just a month or two before.

@Nifflas to me this happens each time I learn enough about a new language, but like, retroactively to other languages, because I learned the more abstract languages first, I keep learning about the implementation details of different things and seeing what my old code could have done better
I don't know about the refactoring, that's always a pain for me

@catty I mean, you "can", but it doesn't let you because 1. usually you don't want that, and 2. it logs you in before you launch minecraft, so you'd need another instance of Prism with a different login

a forest scene. the cat merchant, a humanoid cat wearing a fez, proposes a game where the player picks one door from 3, two have a single coin behind them, while one has a power up the player picks the leftmost door. the merchant helpfully reveals that the middle door contained a coin, and tells the player they can switch if they please the player switches and finds the power up. a golden chest appears and when bonked releases the power up, the scene ends
