hey, gamedevs, if you wanna simulate a game crashing, you can just call the normal exit application function, you don't need to cause an actual crash that may hang the application

In the project, being written in C, we always work on simplifying the code. One way is to use more internal helper functions and avoid direct use of some functions that are often involved in C mistakes/vulnerabilities.

To measure how this develops, we count number of these function calls used per every thousand lines of code. Over time.

@bagder wouldn't this be better juxtaposed to the total count of uses? like this an increase in lines of code shows like a decrease in usage which is not intuitive

Managed to catch a just-shy-of-X1-class flare a few hours ago when I put my scope out on the deck.

The complex chaos of magnetic fields — that is much, much larger than the size of Earth — designated as Region 3664 and Region 3668 (center right sunspot smudge) has been spawning a great number of flares recently, flinging an truly stupendous amount of energy and relativistic particles out into the solar system.
