What are your favorite godot resources?
I’m just getting into godot 4 for the first time and am looking for content I can read/watch/listen to while not at my computer....
Anyone else out there who actually really loved Discovery's S1 style of Klingons?
I am the kind of person who enjoys “big weird” scifi like Stanisław Lem. Stories about trying to relate to and find common ground with something so alien that the prospect of even understanding is basically hopeless. Star Trek usually doesn’t do stories that, which makes sense as it often uses alien races as allegories or...
A ton of First Born marine stuff is going to Legends (www.warhammer-community.com)
Pretty wild. When they announced Primaris this is what I thought they were going to do, but then after two full editions of old/new marines living together I’d assumed they’d given up on that idea. So many classics are heading out…
This Week in GNOME #104 Full Text Search (thisweek.gnome.org)
Update on what happened across the GNOME project in the week from July 07 to July 14.
What should we be using to develop web apps?
Using php + sql and maybe a little javascript is generally an OK-ish method that has few strings attached and runs on anything. However there are a lot of modern frameworks that let you do a lot more stuff. There things like django, firebase, blazor, asp net or whatever but what FOSS equivalent to this “next gen” web...
What developments in the Linux world are you looking forward to the most?
Personally, I’m looking forward to native Wayland support for Wine and KDE’s port to Qt 6.
What is your go-to Linux distro and why?
I’d like to settle on a distro, but none of them seem to click for me. I want stability more than anything, but I also value having the latest updates (I know, kind of incompatible)....
Non right-wing tech podcasts?
It feels like every time I find a podcast about security/networking/technology the hosts end up saying some pretty off-color stuff, or I look them up and they also host right wing podcasts. Are there any that are more leftist, hosted by LGBT peeps, or at least not actively bigoted ?
Star Trek Adventures to Launch Solo Edition with Captain’s Log Solo Roleplaying Game (startrek.com)
Ok, so I got a Baofeng, now what?
Would the perfect title for the blog post I hope exists somewhere. I, like a few other posters, just grabbed one of these things. I also took the step of reading through a good chunk of Ham Radio For Dummies just to get a handle on the basics....
Mastodon (and the Fediverse) is failing. Here is why. (blog.bloonface.com)
Long read but well worth it if you care....
Thoughts on RHEL going closed source ?
I’m curious about what you think on how it will affect the Linux community and distros (especially RHEL based distros like Fedora or Rocky).
Recommend me a decent but cheap NAS
Ideally one that can use more than one disk so that i can expand it later when i can. Have some minimal experience with Synology since there's one at work and i have interacted with it a couple times and like the interface, but am not married to any brand as long as it works....
Cheap used business laptops?
What ThinkPad/Latitude models are cheap and usable right now? I'm just looking for something to browse the web, but not something so low-spec that it couldn't handle heavier desktop environments.
Do this Before You Publish Your Godot Game (www.youtube.com)

My all time favorite restaurant review (www.bostonglobe.com)
I just deleted 12 years of content. Feels weird
I nuked my Reddit accounts today. Deleted all comments and posts, then the accounts themselves. The tool I used showed each comment as it was deleted, and it was bittersweet....

A Tribute to the Windows 3.1 "Hot Dog Stand" Color Scheme (blog.codinghorror.com)
I unironically used this theme when I was a kid!...
Favorite Science Fiction Books
What are some of your favorite science fiction books and why? If you had to pick only a few. As of writing this post my favorites are the following....
