epsilonneighbor,

C’mon, THAT is a poster board cutout of McConnell. Absolutely hilarious if it’s not!

epsilonneighbor,

Agree 100%. There’s no way this guy is getting the conservative vote - based purely on his skin tone.

epsilonneighbor,

Sadly, we’ll probably be losing many more good teachers over this. It all feels so broken.

epsilonneighbor,

I will definitely NOT take that bet, sir. I’m seriously baffled at how they justify such moves. They’re closing libraries, LIBRARIES!! I can see ‘em patting themselves on the back, too. It’s beyond disgusting.

epsilonneighbor,

Back in the day I would comb a perm solution through my hair. I’de continue to comb throughout the specified time and then rinse/condition per the box instructions. I recall being happy with the results. Not sure if they still sell at home perm kits, though.

[AP News] Woman’s escape from cinder block cell likely spared others from similar nightmare, FBI says (lemmy.world)

PORTLAND, Ore. (AP) — A woman who escaped her kidnapper by punching her way out of a homemade cinder block cell at a home in southern Oregon likely saved other women from a similar fate, authorities said, by alerting them to a man they now suspect in sexual assaults in at least four more states....

epsilonneighbor,

I was in a bit of a hurry. Fixed it (I think) - Thank you!

epsilonneighbor,

I loved it! Nolan masterfully intertwined timelines, an absolute riveting telling of history. The acting, score, and cinematography were all on point. I miss the days that this caliber of filmmaking wasn’t so few and far between.

epsilonneighbor,

Yes, thanks for bringing all this over. I’m only a few months in and found myself referencing it often; glad to know it’s easily accessible again.

epsilonneighbor,

Thank you for this. I find myself incredibly frustrated during plateaus despite knowing a lot of this, especially about water and keeping it “right and tight.”

Seeing this post has really shaken me back into reality; I realize I can choose to take a logical (and healthier) approach, rather than forcing myself to go even more extreme.

I’m aiming to lose a significant amount of weight and I remain concerned about the hit/toll the deficit is taking on my metabolism. What you write (and linked to) about returning to maintenance has helped solidify a solid and smart way of dealing. Much appreciated, thanks again.

epsilonneighbor,

Exact info I’ve been hoping to find, thorough and concise - thank you!
