Troubling. Little more than surveillance wrapped up as analytics & adtech.

“We know this sounds like something from the future, but we are there! We can customize your campaign to listen for any keywords/targets relevant to your business.”

“Listening
Active Listening begins and is analyzed via AI to detect pertinent conversations via smartphones, smart tvs and other devices.”

@Privacymatters holy fuck. i am very glad most mobile OS vendors enforce the indicator for mic use but this is still plain fucked

“Is this legal? YES- it is totally legal for phones and devices to listen to you. That's because consumers usually give consent when accepting terms and conditions of software updates or app downloads.”

@erin@coolmathgam.es avatar

so i got a wild thought. i have about 4k+ aperture cards. how hard would it be to make my own mechanism to scan them all in bulk? interesting scans will get uploaded to the IA as i get things scanned 🥺🥺🥺

erin,
@erin@coolmathgam.es avatar

i think with the semi automated way, i can probably achieve a decent rate of 300 ish cards an hour assuming i can keep a 10s - 15s takt of being able to feed the machine. ejection would be into a stack so the only human interaction is feeding cards

overpaying for a copper pipe is paying 30 bucks for a 1 ft long 1 inch pipe
