What a horrible way to find out I’m a pedo

I don’t think they claimed it was better, just that some people prefer the control it gives them and also the feel of it.

I am also this man but only because I severely misjudged the temperature outside.

Anyone you meet on office has likely never played a different map and therefore knows everything about it.

As far as I know the joke is based off the flat earth conspiracy which says that Australia can’t exist and therefore must be on the other side of the flat earth

(Please see comments) Alternatives to Signal if they exit EU due to ending E2EE

Like the title states looking for E2EE apps (Android and iOS) without going into much details or needs to be robust enough and easy to use for anyone and stable for operations that are susceptible to constant electronic warfare. I did some research and thought about replacing Signal with Molly and wondering if it will still work...

Plex Will Block Media Servers at Abuse Prevalent Hosting Company | TorrentFreak (torrentfreak.com)

In an email to customers who run Plex servers at the large German hosting company Hetzner, Plex said that access will be blocked next month. It’s not clear if Hetzner is the only hosting company this applies to, but several customers confirmed that they received the same email....

There’s always this plugin. Its a little annoying to get the skip button working but you can just set it to make a chapter marker so you can skip with that. Though be warned it will hog resources until its done scanning everything on the first run

[Solved] Playback Error: This client isn't compatible with the media and the server isn't sending a compatible media format.

My phone and computer can both play the files fine, but using the official apps or webclient gives me an error. I’m assuming it’s a transcoding error, but there shouldn’t be one. The files (left untreated) work and even if they were transcoded, it should be fine. What am I missing here?...

Check your ffmpeg logs that should help find the cause

I don’t personally use it but you should be able to use the gluetun docker container to connect to the VPN and then force the torrenting container to download over the network provided by gluetun

Because of the rapid fire content, I guess?

I can confirm that seeding with mullvad is painfully slow, if you do torrent locally get a VPN with port forwarding.

fiddlesticks,
@fiddlesticks@lemmy.dbzer0.com avatar

Honestly same, I just know that the speeds were better when the port forwarding worked.

I think it just makes the service visible to devices from outside the network which helps them form a more direct connection. (That’s just an educated guess though)

Using the *arrs is pretty convenient if you know how to use docker (or even if you dont) and then you can connect them to Plex or jellyfin to view, it won’t be instant like Netflix and co but at least its free/cheaper (cost of VPN or seedbox). You can even setup overseerr or jellyseerr to simplify the movie/show requests.
