@ClarusPlusPlus @itchio IIRC the checkboxes are really just for indicating whether the thing can be played in the app on a particular platform, and not for indicating what platform it's for per se. Which isn't to say that's how it should be, I agree that there should be categories for non-itchio-app platforms like DOS, NES, C64, OS/2, etc.

I'm up at ass o'clock for my disability assessment (or rather I only got 3 hours of sleep last night and was too anxious to fall back to sleep) so I actually had myself a decent breakfast for once, and I'm disappointed, but unsurprised, to learn that Saturday morning cartoons are no longer a thing.

man, ziprecruiter is pretty much useless as a jobseeking platform, at least for me. They're just constantly inundating me with dozens of irrelevant jobs based on trivial keyword matches that don't match my actual job-searching criteria, and apparently even looking at a job's full information signals the system that it's the sort of job I'm looking for or something? There's no way to say "no thanks" or to provide specific "don't recommend these jobs" feedback

I find Jeopardy!'s view of what constitutes "a question" to be needlessly limiting. They always end up with questions like "What is a llama?" and "Who was Francis Bacon?" but they never have questions like "Why is the sky blue" or "How is sausage made?" or "Where is Florence, Italy?"

For that matter, their idea of "what" questions are also limiting, like it's only ever "what is" and not "what does" or any other verb.

You'd think after nearly 40 years they'd have tried SOMETHING like this.

For a while I've had a number of abusive bots crawling my website with names like "my-tiny-bot" "thesis-research-bot" "fidget-spinner-bot" and I'm wondering if this is a widescale Internet Shittery thing or if someone's just targeting me specifically.

They're all running on AWS and I keep on reporting them but nothing comes of it.
