@Froggo the only reason i ever used opera gx was because the sound effects made my brain happy
so i ported the sound effects to a firefox extension and i have never needed to use opera gx since ​:thinksmart:​

Is any good? Looking into several instances to migrate to and stumbled upon in the Firefish server list, despite kitsunes.club being based on Sharkey, not Firefish. First glance, Sharkey looks pretty promising - not sure how stable/reliable it is though vs Firefish or they're all just the same. Also, not sure how compatible it is between the two (i.e. if I can migrate all of my content over, as I expect I would be able to moving to another Firefish server).

UPDATE: Sharkey is AMAZING, so please follow me there @irfan thank you <3

@irfan kitsuclub migrated from firefish to sharkey iirc which is why they're in there still
i do not know if they have full account migration, all i know is that sharkey is a soft fork of misskey iirc, so it's closer to misskey 14 than it is firefish.

sharkey still has mastodon API support so your apps should still work. and it does have a cool feature where you can have a "currently listening to" status on your profile. but other than that i don't really know

if you want something closer to firefish, iceshrimp is a fork of firefish-- so if you find a server running that, it will probably have post migration.

honestly, firefish is stable normally, it's just that they test EVERYTHING on firefish.social. and i think the devs have had a lot less time to work on firefish cause of life and stuff. meaning kinks that usually would've been ironed out by now, have been left woefully un-ironed

if you just want to move to a more stable server just go anywhere that isn't FF social tbh.
