@decryption accusing Apple of conducting a criminal conspiracy might be a tad overwrought. But nevertheless, ensuring there are no written records that could be presented as evidence in court is kind of a hallmark of one 😆

Is there a federated bookmarking utility? I sort of just want to share and explore links that people collect. I wonder if that's kind of an answer to the Small Web discoverability dilemma.

@decryption There are two wolves inside me and every time one of those tech companies lies like "Just Walk Out" is unmasked because the zero percent interest rates are no longer there to paper over the cracks, both of them are fed.

Just learned from a random social media post that it’s Easter this weekend. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

[insert snarky statement about religious holidays]

@thomasfuchs I’m not even a little bit religious but you’ll take my Good Friday and Easter Monday public holidays from my cold dead hands.

@decryption Sometimes it is a little breathtaking how they are unable to look at anything outside of the lens of tech corporations.

It would appear Azure devops looks at the order you have things in an thinks "fuck this shit, lets deploy the app before we try running the database migrations"

@decryption It's tremendously disingenuous of him to say that critics of Substack are accusing them of "illegality" even if he does give himself the out of adding "endorsing said output". I wouldn't expect him to criticise Substack themselves, he's nothing if not 100% in the tank for corporations over citizenry. OTOH I can't tell if I have been more radicalised over the last year or if he (and Gruber) have, in the other direction.

My favorite part of big tech RTO policies is the idea that you can have a high performer who writes immaculate code or is your best salesperson but you have to PIP them if they don’t take their Zoom calls from the office three times a week.
