    @decryption It's tremendously disingenuous of him to say that critics of Substack are accusing them of "illegality" even if he does give himself the out of adding "endorsing said output". I wouldn't expect him to criticise Substack themselves, he's nothing if not 100% in the tank for corporations over citizenry. OTOH I can't tell if I have been more radicalised over the last year or if he (and Gruber) have, in the other direction.

    My favorite part of big tech RTO policies is the idea that you can have a high performer who writes immaculate code or is your best salesperson but you have to PIP them if they donโ€™t take their Zoom calls from the office three times a week.

    I had to make some people redundant today. One of them was one of the original engineers. Right after he is told he protests that the CEO assured them they would never (โ€ฝ) be made redundant and he wanted to talk to the CEO.

    I 100% believe it too. Exactly the kind of promise that that arsehole would make, and mean for the time it takes him to say it. He would have forgotten it the next day.

    The dev wanted to talk to the CEO and make him reverse it. I didnโ€™t have the heart to tell him the CEO was the one who put his name on the list.

    I want to fly to Boston and kick this cuntโ€™s arse. His venal narcissism has hurt so many people today.
