@pfefferle Honestly, 80%+ of my problems with the federation as it appears in wp.com would be solved if the plugin respected the "read more" element in wordpress and replaced the rest of the post with a link. It's fine with shorter posts, but it does not work for my particular use case.

@pfefferle I tried federating my wp.com blog but it barfed my very long posts on the timeline, and there was no way to customize how long the extract would be. The wp.com federation needs a lot more finetuning and I don't have the money to pay 25€/month for a personal blog.

So, working on a Laundry novel yesterday I was crawling over the scrivener files from an earlier one and stumbled on a really promising codename for something ghastly that fits perfectly in the new one—a grisly contigency plan called FORLORN AVALON—only to discover that it never made it into the final as-published novel because fuck how was I to know in 2008 that the 2024 climax to the series would absolutely have to involve Gashadokuro King Arthur?

LB: No puedo creerme que lleven años hablándonos de los microplásticos en cosméticos y ropa (algo que no tiene nada de cosa de género) y por lo que sea nadie culpabilice a la gente que conduce vehículos (algo que tampoco tiene nada de cosa de género) por los microplásticos.
