As a fellow I'm curious what made you require manual review for new signups to your server vs open signup.

Is it a limitation from Mastodon about not being able to discover bad actors later, spam/scam profiles that just sign up and fill out profile and link to their "business" or something else entirely? :)

@jippi @rolle too much spam. It gets tiring. In particular it tends to make people report posts, which has a lot of overhead as it's human-to-human communication.

    Kbin and Lemmy should come to a consensus on how to name stuff

    Is there really a reason, for example, for there to be the distinction of "magazine" and "community"? When you're federating, the same features should be called the same, if close enough. That way everyone can talk with everyone about stuff and we all immediately understand each other....

    Também prefiro fortemente como o kbin integra, mas acho que com o tempo o Lemmy deve melhorar.

    Ele existe há mais tempo, mas teve um pulo de popularidade recente. Isso muda as coisas.

    Having read up on the drama that occurred yesterday:

    1. No, we won't block Meta before anything happens.

    2. Yes, we will hold them to the same standards as everyone else. This means blocks, only when there's reason to do so.

    Some 's need to quit this weird power trip. The software has great personal moderation tools for fine-grained control. Don't make decisions for hundreds or thousands of people just because you don't like something.

    Mas usando o fedibuzz você pode seguir tags de muitos outros servidores. Por exemplo, vá na busca e procure:

    Vai aparecer uma conta que você pode seguir que vai fazer repost de muito mais mensagens com esse hashtag do que você consegue ver hoje. (Troque pelo tag que você preferir.)
