Independently from the whole story, how can someone with responsibility in a health related governing body, in a public professional statement, give any kind of credit to Mercury retrograde?

Gotta love English adjective-participle ambiguity.

Which of the Swiss cheeses is the one that people call “Swiss cheese”?

Just for a bit of perspective: the average monthly salary in Switzerland is around $11000 so maybe $10 for a flat white is more affordable.

Is there any medicine that can give me happy hormones and does not need a doctor's prescription?

Things are becoming more depressing every day and I can’t afford for professionals and don’t want to jump to the last resort or drugs. Is there a medicine that can make me happy if I take it in proper doses and does not require a doctor’s prescription?

If you are into the command line, pass is also neat. You can even have your keys in a git repo and access it with a FOSS Android app (requires some dedication to set it up). It’s very useful to feed passwords to scripts without hardcoding them in the source.

That looks like a beautiful modernised gaelic typeface.

Of the inclusivity approaches the Spanish language has, the -e ending is the least used and promoted, others being duplication (ciudadanas y ciudadanos) or paraphrasis (ciudadanía).

It’s has practically become that by definition because the far right successfully appropriated the skinhead aesthetics. Or almost. Look into the SHARP.

The publication asked Huerta himself what he thought of all the online conversation about his bikini area – where he confirmed the photo sans bulge was actually the real deal.

“The only thing I can say is: the original was the photo in the right. Without [the bulge]! That’s original,” he told the outlet. “No, I mean, I’m not going to lie to people. Every man in the world, we have fragile masculinity, but not in that issue. I will say, the right one, the real one is the photo on the right.”

Fun fact: the Basques use “habría” instead of “hubiera”.

Is it possible to get a virtual credit card for a different country?

I wanted to get my mom YouTube Premium for her birthday but don’t want to pay the ridiculous annual price for my country (especially since she mostly just watches YouTube shorts). She uses an iPhone so trying to get adblocker would be too much of a hassle, especially if it stops working. She won’t be able to figure out how...

Do you know of anything similar for non-US residents?

My first contact with computers in school was with a dialect (?) of LOGO that used commands based on Spanish. GD (giraderecha) instead of RT (right) or AV (avanza) instead of FD (forward).

Not all CC licences are open source, CC-BY-NC-* aren’t.

I think tldr’s are justified if the headline is clickbaity or misleading.

I agree but I don’t think bad journalism practices are the way to fix that. If something, they will drive readers further away eventually.

The problem with the tragedies averted is that you can’t count them. EnergyControl have been active in Spain for over two decades now, and I’m quite sure they have quietly saved lots of lifes, apart from having become the de facto source to factcheck every new drug scare from the media. Last year in an unrelated conversation with an aussie he was telling me how he felt most of Australia’s culture was copied from somewhere else as if that was a bad thing, and my point then was that the pro of that is that you can copy just the good stuff. My point stands: EnergyControl is something I think you won’t regret copying.
