@derthomas hey! Yeah haha I realised I actually miss this place! I need an outlet for my thoughts and to talk to people. I just need to put in the work and adjust my timeline a bit
@derthomas@yourfutureex@TheWarlock666 lol, San Marino. It's also a popular destination for petty criminals in the surrounding areas... the police can't chase you there 🤣
Since this summer I'm recovering from top surgery, I don't really plan to embark on a trip, even within Italy. At this point I'm considering using the money to buy a ticket for a big festival next year: #Wacken or #Hellfest mostly... any other European #metalfestival that might be worth it? #Copenhell maybe?
@schm43cky huh, might look into Graspop or Summer Breeze! For me it's all equal distance, more or less. Still far from the south of Italy tho. Ironically Wacken is easy because there's a direct flight from Naples to Hamburg.
@schm43cky oh I went to Wacken via train! 23 hours straight... left Naples on Sunday at 7am, I was in Hamburg on Monday at 6am. I had my tent and sleeping bag with me + a 45 liters backpack; I bought some canned food in the village.
I think one day I'll try the car experience (must be fun!) but the no-car-area was lovely.
(I went on an Interrail trip after Wacken, that's why I took the train instead of the airplane)
I am looking for the January 2023 issuse of Metal Hammer (English Version). I am willing to pay for it + tracked shipping to Italy + compensation.
I am featured in that issue and it means a lot to me. I keep having trouble ordering it from the offical sources so I have to ask if someone here has a spare copy/can get me a copy. Please help me!!
I actually wanted to do some research and recommend some Italian Thrash. But I forgot my headphones at home, so that plan is dead.
I'll throw this task to @heavymetalrick and @neurothing hoping that one of them catches it.
@derthomas@satsuma@neurothing yeah ☠️ btw no oil is needed when making pasta. Pot full of water, once it's boiling add some cooking salt and the pasta. Cook for 10ish minutes and it's done!
@derthomas haha yes, you're right on both things! I'm from the opposite side of Italy so I'm biased, but you should visit the Tyrrhenian coast: amazing sea and family-friendly as well 😄
@derthomas true, coming from the north it's a long drive. Luckily though, the trains are way better along the west coastline, so if you ever decide to visit, consider them 😉 enjoy the sun!!
