hightrix,

Electric Callboy!

Pump it and We got the moves are must listen/watch. The music videos are fantastic.

hightrix,

This is the real answer. Stop using Google search.

hightrix,

There are great songs and albums in all genres.

There are terrible songs and albums in all genres.

Listening to an album as it was released, front to back, is the best way to consume music.

hightrix,

This is a fantastic unpopular opinion.

I definitely consider this for some genres, but for others it ruins the music for me.

hightrix,

They are purposefully anti-housing. That is the point. And no, it is not to drive prices up but instead to ensure someone doesn’t buy the place next door and turn it into a toxic waste processing plant.

Zoning laws serve a good purpose in many locations. They also serve to maintain NIMBYism, but that is a second order effect.

hightrix,

Ok, so then what is the difference in an area zoned I-4 vs R-1.

And yes, I understand the historical context, but that’s not the topic of conversation. We are talking about their current use.

hightrix,

What does I-4 zoning stand for?

hightrix,

I just started using this after BodyFit broke login for a month.

So far, I’m liking it a lot.

hightrix,

Don’t use BodyFit by bodybuilding.com.

Their developers are completely incompetent and break the app haphazardly. Earlier this year, they broke the ability to login. So you could not use the app at all.

Do not use BodyFit. Yes, I’m salty that it broke between two sets and my workout was ruined for the day and then also for the week.

Squarespace to Go Private in $6.9B All-Cash Transaction with Permira (investors.squarespace.com)

Stockholders will receive $44.00 per share in cash, which represents a premium of 29% over the 90-day volume weighted average trading price of $34.09 Squarespace, Inc. (NYSE: SQSP ), the design-driven platform helping entrepreneurs build brands and businesses online, today announced that it has entered into a definitive...

hightrix,

This is just the public warning to stop using square space. Once the PE vultures are in, the product will be made worse and more expensive until it shuts down for lack of “profitability”and growth.

hightrix,

Ahh yes, when a product advertises that it is “well built” that is a massive red flag.

hightrix,

This just in, people don’t like ads. At all. Most people.

It is time to find a new business model that works. I’m not smart enough to know what that is so that you don’t piss off users, but whoever figures it out will be a billionaire.

hightrix,

That is absolutely a solution. But what I’m talking about is a way to monetize while keeping the service free but without showing ads.

This is the billion dollar idea. If not trillion.

hightrix,

I still believe their naming conventions has destroyed the brand.

Grandma that wants to buy a toy for their kids can go to the store and buy the next PlayStation. Xbox… which one do they buy? They don’t, they buy the easy option.

The new class war: A wealth gap between millennials (www.cnbc.com)

There may be another factor creating so much wealth among millennials: inheritances. In what’s known as “the great wealth transfer,” baby boomers are expected to pass down between $70 trillion and $90 trillion in wealth over the next 20 years. Much of that is expected to go to their millennial children. High-net-worth...

hightrix,

Wealth displays on social media

Crazy idea, so just hear me out.

What if we all just avoided those shitty apps?

hightrix,

What monopoly?

Users have choice. If they want an open system, choose android. If they want a closed system, choose Apple.

What’s the fuckin problem. Let’s deal with real issues, not this bullshit.

When / why / how did "I hope you are well" become a standard email intro?

Practically every email I’ve received in maybe the past year has started with “I hope you are well”. I even had an LLM draft a placeholder email for me and it started with the same thing. This has not always been the case and it’s strange to me that everyone I interact with begins their emails with this line. Frankly,...

hightrix,

100% agreed. Please and thank you are standard. Pleasant tone and asking to work together rather than giving commands is also.

It takes so very little extra effort to be nice.

hightrix,

Quell the outrage.

They are paying for it. Here’s a quick link from the top of search.

qz.com/adobe-ai-training-data-artists-pay-1851407…

hightrix,

This. I always say this exact thing.

If you provide content for free, expect people to take it for free.

hightrix,

A lot more than what? Bolt action? Yes, because as the parent said, nearly all guns are semi auto.

hightrix,

Your use of randomly capitalized words does not, at all, make you look like a child screaming because his mom said no McDonalds. Definitely not.

hightrix,

But what are they used more than?

hightrix,

Absolutely. They will destroy that franchise and make a killing.
