@joel I've heard literally nothing but good things about tailscale, but I can't get it out of my head that centralized === bad (side note: can you tell my day job requires a lot of javascript?).

    @grueproof bluetooth duplex support is basically non-existent. it's part of the protocol. (I think apple has tech on top of bt-enabled devices to get it working properly, but that's about it). If your microphone and speakers are the same BT device, the codec automatically switches over to a really old profile that sounds like your talking on a telephone from the 1930s.

    @msprout ha, fair enough. Just trying to get an angle on an issue i'm seeing.
    My nodejs client connects to redis via tls, no issues. sets and gets from the cache. everything is cool.

    Redis, meanwhile, is like "I'M SO ANGRY!" and vomits ssl errors into the logs.
