If you've played a pirated version of Prince of Persia 2, there's a really good chance you've played the pre-release version which is a lot more difficult that subsequent releases (which also have their own issues).

Pressing ALT+V won't display a version number in it, but instead just the title "PRINCE OF PERSIA 2" will appear at the bottom.

@dosnostalgic The pirated version I played on my PC in the 90s crashed when I got to level 13 (I think?). It was unrecoverable, loading the save file went back to the same point and crashed again. I was devastated.

Received my copy of Shift Happens this week. The love and care and craftsmanship that @mwichary and @glennf have poured into this project come through in every little detail, from the print finishes to the design and typesetting to the photography to the writing, and even in the ingenious packaging they devised to ensure it arrived safely.
I’m looking forward to savouring this masterpiece over the next few months ✨

When using a possessive apostrophe and the word/name ends in an S, do you personally add an S after the apostrophe?

eg: Mavis' sweater, versus Mavis's sweater

@christianselig I actually dreamt the other night that I got really upset with my wife over her plural/possessive apostrophe usage. Thankfully, when I woke up I couldn’t remember what she had done and what I insisted she should have done.

I would kill for a significantly better emoji panel on macOS. It needs to pop up immediately, be fast to scroll or search, and stay open until I’ve left the field I opened it for.

@louie This point applies to iOS too, especially if you have more than one input language - tapping the globe icon sometimes switches to emoji, sometimes to the next language, and then back to the first language, but never what I expected or wanted.

Trying to make a 2-year-old understand that Link is not Zelda, but he’s in the Zelda video game.

Why did you do this Nintendo?

@rafa My 4-year-old finally understood that Zelda is a different character when I was playing through the intro/cutscenes. And then horribly disappointed when the main game got going and Zelda was nowhere to be seen 😢
