If you got upset at me for pointing out that more people died of Covid under Biden than Trump, in large part because Biden rolled back common sense restrictions that were in place under Trump...

Then you'll hate me pointing out that Trump introduced a 25% tariff on Chinese EVs, and Biden is upping that to 100% tariff.

@rebeccawatson I didn't mean to be flippant or disrespect the generous intention behind the gift, and I apologize if it came off that way. I shy away from human whole-genome testing because I'm as skeptical of SNP's correlating "ethnicities" and "national origins" as I am of using reverse inference in fMRI mapping to determine specific cognitive functions. That applies to puppy DNA testing, too. My mutts are awesome & Indy is awesome, regardless of whether they're 12% terrier.

All in the Family, first run, 1972. I was 9. I realized folks I agreed with (Meathead) could be unlikeable, and folks I disagreed with (Archie) were human. And I had a crush on Gloria.

With Google's main search becoming more unreliable and the Internet itself becoming polluted with generative nonsense, I find myself searching on scholar, books, and my local library's OCLC interface and limiting myself to results from 2022 or earlier. This seems extreme.

That's a tool for measuring just how forthcoming 10 of the world’s top tech developers have been with their most salient generative AI applications…”
