I'm sure the answer to this question is a resounding yes, but are there folks out there that would be interesting in doing to amateur radio what the SRA did with firearms?

Basically take the SRAs template of socialists building a big tent federated network of regional groups and apply that to radio education and mutual aid?

I'm so frustrated with amateur radio clubs being so right wing. Let's build a new world out of the ashes of the old.

This weekend is packed full of radio.

Saturday morning I am taking my general.
Sunday morning is supporting a local 10k race. Sunday afternoon is the Rockville Science Fair.

I have Friday off and if the weather cooperates, I'll do a POTA activation. 🤞

Hi, I am a new ham (3/13/2024)

I am a queer, agender, leftist that is learning with the goal to provide emergency communication support for my community.

I really want to learn how to build my own radios and antennas. I'd love to be able to build what I've called "junkyard radio" out of spare parts in the event that supply chains fail us.

I am currently rocking a lowly Baofeng GT-5R but hope to upgrade to a nice multiband radio like the FT-991a.
