Today is the first National Weather Service's Storm Prediction Center High Risk day of the year. The Oklahoma City metro is in the crosshairs. If you live there, you're probably well aware of this. If you live outside of the pink High Risk area, even in the Slight Risk area, keep weather aware. It's probably worth considering following @nws and/or @nwsspc.

When I met my husband 10 yrs ago, he was everything I ever wanted. We met on Streetpass Plaza. He was a Luma3DS and Anemone user who could hack any 3DS with his eyes closed. We used to have long, romantic conversations well past midnight about Wii vs vWii and homebrew. Our first fight ever was about Wiilink vs Wiimmfi. On our first date, we shared our Mario Kart 7 ghost data with each other (this was the first time I truly felt love for a man).

However, lately he’s changed into a husk of the man he used to be. He migrated to Nintendo Switch because, and I quote, he “just wants to get games done” and he “no longer has time to fiddle with [his] system”. Then, he started using Nintendo Switch Online for the same reason. This was already very suspicious. I mean, if he truly just wanted to play, he could have at least emulate, right? Even a MIG cart I’d have been ok with.

Then, the other day, our relationship hit a breaking point. Here I was, working on my old 3DS capture card mod and hubby calls me over to his office. He said he “wanted to show me something”. I sit down on his chair, and you can imagine my terror as he pulls up Nintendo Switch Chat. He had a weird smile on his face, as if something had taken him over. He spent the next few mins “showing off” a variety of things he’d just learned. I had to turn my face to the side so he wouldn’t see the tears drying on my cheeks. Let me be clear: This was NOT the man I married.

Our relationship has had its ups and downs, but I never imagined my husband would stoop so low as to become a corporate bootlicking peasant. I don’t know what to do. Part me says I should just start divorce proceedings and get it over with, but the other part can’t help but wonder if perhaps my husband is being afflicted by some serious, undiagnosed mental illness.

Please advise fedi, my whole life is in shambles and I don’t know what to do

@prinsje Every relationship is predicated to some degree on compromise. Perhaps you can share some common ground with evil-mode. I would suggest gently introducing this subject, and if he insists to the contrary, a neutral third party, such as a marriage counsellor, would be helpful in helping the two of you settle on some common editing setups.

I wish you the best of luck, but please post an update if things blow up when you confront him with this.

yeah i don't really have a project here with this Sony CLIÉ PEG-NR70V/U, i just wanted to disassemble, inspect, clean, and re-battery it and it came right back to life. this thing would sell like hotcakes today with a modern display and a 5G modem
