@christianselig The thumb style are all bad IMO for that reason — my thumbs would be dead b/w that and my phone. I love those like Adept or Kensington Slimblade, though I use them with my wrist more rotated outward, so it’s not as flat as you may imagine. I think folks looking for something more ergonomic lean towards the Classic, oftentimes with a 3D printed wedge for more tilt.

Also, I use a button to toggle scrolling, which is much nicer than any wheel.

Trying to take a screenshot of a web view in Swift for a sharing function, and while it works in simulator, on device the video part is just missing from the image, presumably due to hardware decoding of the video. Any way around this?

@christianselig I think that’s generally an AVPlayer handling playback under the hood, and IIRC your only real option is AVAssetGenerator, if you can even find a reference to the player within the web view. It was a long time ago, but I remember hitting a wall here too, trying to get screenshots of HTML games that had video elements.

@christianselig very late to this, but add one more vote for the Ricoh GR — the pocketability, image stabilization, and sharpness is SO good. A new rec though: Sony RX1 / RX1R. Get whichever of the 3 generations fits you for the full frame, incredible lens, and tiny size for what it is. The 2nd and 3rd gen models have a pop up viewfinder, but I don’t know how good they are.

To avoid all the wild prices, I went with (very) used GRIIIx and 1st gen RX1 from mpb and couldn’t be happier!

@christianselig so, I do have a 3rd camera, a Fuji X70! It’s essentially an X100T without a rangefinder in a smaller body. Also 100% worth looking into used while you wait, again mine came from mpb. Having each, they’re all incredible, and the jpgs are all so good, each with their own style. I paid less than $2k total for all 3 used, and their resale values hold relatively well! I did get lucky with a cheap, “broken” GRIIIx that just had a bad battery and cheap USB cable 😄

@ivory Hello! Just ran into a weird issue where the keyboard on the composer screen dismissed at random over and over while I was typing. It was a reply to another post, and it doesn’t seem to be happening anymore as I type this. I have a video of it happening if you want that, but there’s probably not much more info there.
