Sketching #cyberpunk stuff in #pico8 today! 🦾
This might be something for the Hackerman title screen, but I don't know - maybe a bit too creepy? What do you guys think? 🧐 #gamedev#indiedev
This is #Hackerman - a two-phase hacking game with a puzzle/strategy mix.
It's my main #pico8 prototype for now.
Depending on how it goes, it might become a puzzle roguelike, a more story-driven game, or nothing at all 😅
@krajzeg I still see a lot of people on twitch streaming, but I've seen some on youtube lately too. My main problem with YouTube is that I just find it personally hard to find channels that I'm not specifically looking for. With Twitch it's easy enough to just go to the programming category and have a look around for something interesting. Not that twitch doesn't have it's own huge issues atm though.
I've been mostly gone from the internet for a while.
This is because lately, I've been having a hard time working and interacting with people. This here is a thread about why that happened and what I'd like to do about it.
This is not the way to go. I miss sharing my progress. I miss having regular feedback. I miss talking to people about games and I miss just making fun stuff without feeling the pressure to succeed at all costs.
So here is what I'm planning to do:
Starting the long process of moving a prototype from #pico8 to #Unity😤
A sane person might begin by porting all the mechanics as soon as possible.
Me? I'm more concerned with making it fun to click the board😅
I might be the only person who works on strategy games as if they were platformers - by figuring out the "movement" first.
It's very important for me to get that right. I find it hard to assess a game if that kinetic feel of playing is completely missing.
