@mahryekuh friendliness. A while ago i tried to use a blogging tool and had a difficult time using it as it acted wrong due to wrong input, but didnt tell the reason for acting wrong was my wrong input.
i got the explanation that my input was wrong in their forum.
So i asked if that behavior is intentional / unavoidable or an error that can be fixed. With the intention that i would try to fix it unless experienced developers tell me it’s hard/impossible/not desireable to change…

@mahryekuh the answer i got was i should in the very first place be grateful that i gad been given such a great software for free and stop complaining.

besides that i had nothing to thank for so far as i didn’t get to use the thing as it was hard to figure out how i also wasn’t motivated anymore to contribute to a project were the main developer sees every hint for errors in their software as a personal attack.

@laaspher @kuketzblog die haben sogar schon ein erfolgreiches Behördenlinux Projekt einfach eingestampft, mit keiner anderen Begründung als dass es kein Microsoft ist

@nicorikken i‘m not sure if i understand the message exactly…
to me it sounds a bit more like they cannot find an institutional/organizational owner to whom they can hand it over than technical server hosting.
do you know more about the issue?

@nicorikken taking responsibility always means risking consequences… why should anyone do that if they can just sit around and use TikTok/Insta/YouTube. The logic is simple but the result is sad :(
