Hello yes I would very much like a 74ACT541 in a *DFN package please, none of this TSSOP/SOIC garbage 😤

A lot of the instrumentation-based profiles I see around, especially for C++ are just "include this header, link with the library, and use these macros" which is fine, but involves a lot of gating and all that kinda stuff.

Why has no-one written gcc/clang plugins to add custom attributes that do instrumentation for you? the compiler will just complain about the unknown attribute when the instrumentation is not enabled so no need to do anything else :v

@azonenberg I have no clue, but yeah given the two giant BGA footprints on it, I would say it's very likely at least 32 layers

lethalbit,
@lethalbit@chaos.social avatar

@azonenberg I would say the lack of swiss-cheese on the other side of the board behind the BGA pads I'd say yeah,

I am once again absolutely livid at the people who run standards organizations, look at this shit.

Standards should /not/ be this fucking expensive, at all, it's such bullshit, and it should be criminal to charge like this for standards,

Fucking capitalism,

Hello, yes, I would like things to stop pushing LLM garbage, thanks,

I don't want it in my code editor, I don't want it in my web browser, etc.

It's just not useful, it is fucking awful, why do people keep putting this garbage in things, ugh,

Okay here is a question:

Let's say I have a fairly complicated piece of software, it's open source, and I provide linux binary builds and a flatpak or w/e alongside the source code, would it be unjust to let's say, charge a little bit for windows binary builds ( lets say they can pay what they want between like, 5 bucks and 50 bucks)

and I found Lorien which seems to have a lot of promise, it was written in GDScript and uses Godot which is neat, and works well enough for what I need and it's fast.

It does have some issues, mainly with window resizing breaking the grid and the brush anti-aliasing being kinda chunky, but it is only on version 0.6.0 so I can't fault it too much, in general I think i'll start using it rather than Krita,

I am once again said that there are no good C++ GUI frameworks T~T

lethalbit,
@lethalbit@chaos.social avatar

@azonenberg Yeah, they're all pretty bad, and it's just, frustrating

lethalbit,
@lethalbit@chaos.social avatar

@azonenberg yeah the problem I have with things like Dear ImGui, is that it breaks system cohesion and doesn't have good (or any) accessibility or internationalization support.

No matter what I do it just will not record any samples :akiflop:

@azonenberg Yeah that's a mood, I should reboot too, probably doesn't help my running kernel is 6.6.2 and the installed kernel is 6.6.6 :v but rebooting takes so many spoons :akiflop:

I have come to the conclusion that one of the hardest things to do in programming, other than good UI/UX, is undo/redo :v
