Is there a good free-or-cheap solution for an email inbox that’s monitored/accessed by multiple people?

We have a choir email address and a gmail account that’s fetching messages from it via POP (that’s all gmail offer) which multiple people log into with a shared login. We use gmail because it’s a familiar interface for non-technical folks - webmail less so. It’s not ideal.

We’ve tried delegating access via gmail but that’s a mixed bag and often people don’t understand how it works.

@sophie Could you use a Google Group instead? You then have one address that pushes the email out to everyone on the member list

@sophie @joelanman Ah, yeah. The groups have a "conversation" view in the web app, but I don't know how well that would work with local mail apps though (if it would work at all) 🤔

Another pinch flat this morning, this time because I'd put my new wheels on the commuter bike 🤦‍♂️ Marathon Plus tyres are a pain to get on, especially in the dark, by the side of the road

I think my rear tyre is toast. 3 consecutive flats in two days - pulled a shard of glass out of it yesterday, but that doesn't seem to have fixed it.

Wound up walking the entire breadth of Manchester city this morning, pushing my bike along, which was great fun (/s)

@sarajw Yep! At first I assumed it was me being shite, so I took it to my local bike shop, and they replaced the tube, found a tiny shard of glass. But then still got another flat this morning.

Going to check it all over - if the tyre has failed I'll send it back, I've only had it since October

@sarajw That's the next thing I'm gonna check. I fitted the rim tape on Sunday, so definitely a possibility

Some of the Google product UIs are just... the worst. My org uses Looker for data analysis, and I needed to configure an alert on a dashboard.

It took me about 15 minutes to find the alert icon, which is only discoverable after you exit development mode, and then hover over the title of a card on the dashboard. Who thought that was a good idea?? Just... put the icon there, make it clear

Started the account migration now. Turns out Firefish is a pain to migrate from, especially if you're an admin account - had to manually remove my admin privileges using Postgres to do it
