This might be a stupid question, but is there such a thing like an unencrypted corpus of #quic packets, maybe some that are used for fuzzing? To study the protocol I've started implementing a parser, and using pcap captures I figured out how to successfully unprotect Initial packets and parse their frames, but I don't have a way to validate the parser for the following packets that are all encrypted. I'd rather start working on TLS for a more or less full stack only later along the road
I've finally managed to get through the whole #Fedivision2024 playlist (72 songs, pant pant...). I was quite impressed with the quality, since I was expecting something more amateur-ish on average (like my crummy contribution).
Eventually, I took some notes and came up with a list of 11 #Fedivision tracks in particular that I liked more than the others, and so candidates for my three votes this week (I won't vote for myself).
That's all! If you contributed something to #Fedivision2024 and I didn't mention you, don't feel discouraged: there's good chances I did like your song! But I had to make a shortlist of those I liked the most, as I'll have to come up with those 3 codes by the end of the week 😂
As a shameless plug for myself, you can listen to my song here:
Turns out, not only do I love reading the liner notes at https://fedivision.party as I listen to the tracks... I also love to read other people's threads & takes on the entries as I listen to those tracks.
I think this means I'm going to be spending lots of time online the next few days reading and listening. 😂
While I'm listening to the whole #Fedivision2024 playlist (more thoughts on that later!) I uploaded my "BBB (Big Boomer Bænd)" song (code [DEEP] on the #Fedivision website) on my #Faircamp instance. It's free to download in all its FLAC glory 😁
20 years after the first themes came to me, I finally did it... My 27 minutes rock opera song on Cleopatra is now done! It's an appetizer to my upcoming "Musae" album, where it will be one of the tracks: in this EP I decided to split it in different parts for easier listening.
Just submitted my contribution to #fedivision2024, can't wait for you to listen to it 😱 And can't wait to hear what the other fellow #fedivision musicians have come up with!
(Alt txt : A smiling long haired Italian wearing a 'januscon' shirt stands on the steps of an impressive marble building with a pop up sign saying Janus 10.)
I've started adding some of the accepted speakers on the #JanusCon website: not a complete list yet (still waiting for confirmation from others and there's more content from ourselves too), but it will give you a taste!
There's so few music related talks at FOSDEM (hardly any at all?) that I definitely couldn't miss @marquisdegeek 's presentation for the world! #fosdem2024
One of the most exciting moments of my entire life... I finally got to meet in person Kazuhiko Nishi, the creator of the MSX, the home computer that as a kid completely changed me and got me into programming and computers. I wouldn't be the person and professional I am today without him and what he worked on! #msxgoto40
PS: I spoke to him in Japanese (or tried to) and to be honest he didn't look very impressed 😂 But I was over the moon anyway just because I was there to do that!
