What if a #SpotifyWrapped application that goes through your listening history for the year and finds any artists that have an indy, band camp, or donation link or store, and make a list of links for you to give directly to them.
I really truly love every years Spotify Wrapped reveal. It's like Santa but instead of gifts, I get an easy way to see and unfollow anyone who listens to the Joe Rogan Experience Podcast!
I 100% agree that tech companies are snooping on us and know far too much about us, but if your reaction to #SpotifyWrapped is "Woah, it's creepy that Spotify knows exactly what songs I'm listening to ... on Spotify" then I'm not sure we're saying the same thing.
I started using PlexAmp recently, but it can be coaxed into printing output like Spotify Wrapped. I don't use Spotify or similar streaming services as I prefer to pay artists directly as much as possible, but it is fun to see the top artists for the year.
Open PlexAmp, Tap the Search icon, then under Aural Fixation tap the category (Artists, Albums, Tracks, etc). At the top of the next screen tap the header and set it to Yearly and pick 2023.

I immediately receive notification from nameless site, which alerts me to my friend leaving this very crucial comment on another friends post regarding #SpotifyWrapped and their underpayment of #musicians:

I find #spotifywrapped interesting, mostly to compare to what I felt was the music that had the most impact on me, and the two don't overlap that much. In this cas Adam Young and Spanish Love Songs - yes, but Spoon and The National? I'm a fan sure, but didn't really register listening to them this year.
