After I added some older #Mermay works on DeviantArt, I mentioned one #mermaid was based on my sister. So I had short conversation in comments and other user asked me, if I plan to draw myself or my sister as a mermaid. I thought it could be a good idea and started #drawing.
Initially I planned more stereotypical scene, treasures from a shipwreck etc. Later I thought ships nowadays would drop more modern artifacts, like electronics. So what about made this picture also a symbol of my current complicated relationship with modern tech, as an IT person with some knowledge but also kind of Luddite who actively avoid mainstream devices and services?
When I sometimes read or hear about newest drama in corporate software world, my most often first reaction is similar to this picture :blobcat_uwucry:
Mixture of surprise, shock and disgust...
#Mermay - demonic edition.
Because if hell is underground, it should be under oceans. And its gates would be in deepest place, guarded by creatures like this :blobCat_devil:
Sitting #kingfisher - based on my mother's photos. I rather exactly "copied" its pose.
For some reason pattern on its head and wings looks like the sky for me. Not sure if it was so visible on original photos.
Funny thing... I always knew #Piped is decentralized, like #Invidious. But for ~3 years I knew only one instance address, second one I accidentally saw here. And I absolutely don't know where to look for more. :blobcatjoy:
Another "like a tribal tattoo" #drawing... #lizard this time. Planned to draw it more like these clay figurines decorated with coloured glass shards available in souvenir shops :blobcatjoy:
Did my taxes via government website... And now I want to scream about #smartcard support on #Linux...
Why the hell login via identity card is so much pain every damn time?!?
@madargon It is very possible, yes. If it is a pl gov website then everything is possible there. Or even more. Their system is totally messed up, non compliant or compatible with any of the common used, (open too) standards. They made an pretty heavy, unusable, unfriendly for the average person piece of junk. 🤦♀️🤮
@MartinBe Every service there, related to taxes, voting, some weird services using their "inbox" etc. are the same. Chain of weird redirections, sometimes with as suspicious addresses as real scam sites. And I dare you to use adblockers in browser...

Not even sure if it was original, I saw it here many times independently last few days, from various accounts posting this.
I imagined it as some #snake - #dragon - #cat#creature, most possibly living underwater so it could move quickly in this shape :blobcatjoy:
