Musk has spent the past year courting conservatives and right-wing figures.

The very demographics who tend to be skeptical of, if not downright hostile to, EVs and the green energy transition.

Firing the Supercharger team sends a clear message - Tesla's future is no longer selling climate-saving cars to eco-conscious liberals.

@Daojoan EV “revolution” has never been about climate change or sustainability. It was purely business decision, accompanied by legit related products like supercharger or “con” like hyperloop.
It partially played out in US, car-centric society, but elsewhere it either heavily relies on gov subsidies to live on or causing frustrations what problems owning EV solves.
Shifting focus away from EV just means that Tesla’s businesses growth is elsewhere.
