The best part of today was waking up and seeing that #protonmail now has a material you compatible app icon on Android! It was the only app left, and now everything matches!
Just got syncthing setup! Can write markdown on the go, have it sync to my notes repo, then just commit and push when I get home! If anyone is intimidated by syncthing, its really not as hard as it sounds from others describing it! Also tested it with #Logseq and worked brilliantly.
Reading Filterworld right now, and it caused me to reflect on the fact that I have never worried about likes or engagement on posts I make on mastodon. Due to the chronological nature, some things may just entirely miss peoples' feeds (or people may just read and keep scrolling), but that's okay! The point of the platform isn't to achieve fame, it's to communicate with others in a way that respects their time and preferences, to build a better experience for everyone.
@markpitblado I totally understand your views. I'm using analytics for my personal blog, just because I like looking at numbers and stats. I'm using a FOSS solution called goatcounter, it's basic but fills my needs just fine
If anyone is looking for a cool new profile pic, @andycarolan is amazing! Was super impressed by the level of communication and overall smoothness of the process!
