I’m experimenting with a new email setup (for the imminently-launching Neatnik ID setup) and could really use some help testing email deliverability. If you have a spare moment and would like to test, just send an email to testing@email.engineering with any subject line and any message body.

I’m mostly concerned with ensuring that you receive a reply within 15 seconds, and that the reply winds up in your inbox (not spam/junk).

I have spent much time working on a new greenfield client project this week and fundraising for various things. Those might be on my mind tomorrow.

I’m mostly the one in my way struggling with options I’m lucky to have. (It’s why I’m writing quietly in a corner.) Zero regret trying things and reaching out and paying attention. Being afraid and feeling dumb are the only things that don’t help. 🚀

  • What is your experience with non-programming Pythons? (Snakes, Monty, etc.)
  • Where’s the best place to get work done?
  • Why does everybody call it the Django “admin” when an admin is usually a person unlike a “control panel” or “admin interface”?
  • What are the essential ingredients for a good conference? (Or the reverse: how can you reliably have an awful one?)

@sarajw I’m glad they’re working for whoever needs them, and I also need reminders because my internal calendar is prone to error.

I hope my rant didn’t come off as excessively crabby or unsympathizing; I truly don’t know how people have children and complete thoughts and it seems like high-stakes attention management.

I prefer when nobody’s experience gives them automatic, overriding authority and instead we get to compare mistakes and see what’s most funny and interesting.
