You honestly believe that the ONE space you send users to for assistance can be aggressively over moderated with "volunteers" who use macros and fill automation?
Oh yeah, you are a serious environment who needs deep pocketed investors. :blobcatlaugh:
My friend, we have Reddit. It exists...it's totally a thing. You need to develop past Reddit or they'll just use that. Marketing will die on the vine regardless of which campaigns you deploy.
For the record, if your "landing area" is filled with individuals who act too busy, too road weary, or too important to help new users, that is a self-fixing system.
Your social media group is dying, and I'm trying to learn it to see if it has reasons to exist. Within hours the faults are very clear.
I doubt they'll believe me when I explain it is them...
@mentallyalex I think, unless the cybertruck owner specifically negotiated such beforehand, there is no reasonable expectation that a tow truck operator will make any effort to keep a vehicle out of the rain.
Even if you had a convertible with a roof broken open, most people's first thought would be "oh, I should cover that with a tarp or something" not "oh, I should ask the tow truck driver to stay out of the rain".
US commercial tow trucks are required to carry liability insurance (up to $750K I think) should they be deemed liable for damages inflicted during a tow.
One could argue the Cybertruck should have been covered with a tarp (same as if a convertible was towed with the top down, or windows rolled down in the rain) so making a claim should be pretty straightforward. Assuming the cybertruck melted or whatever.
I read that originally as "Moss Boss" and had a very fun Al Capone image come to my mind.
Remnants of bushy mossy hair under a fadora hat. Walking confidently along the forest floor running scams on the rabbits and pressing the local rodent communities for their stores for winter.
"In case of accidents," He says, chuckling to himself.
"Such a nice burrow you and the missus have here," Moss Boss said.
He walked into the burrow as the two rabbits stood holding each other in the corner. The male rabbit had his paw protectively around the female. His expression was angry, but his hindquarters quivered with fear.
Ignoring the two rabbits Moss Boss walked slowly over to the couples double couch. Just the two of them, for now, they had spent their tiny savings on this new home on their arrival to the thickets. Moss Boss had greeted them and explained the ways of the thicket. They had to pay their share, or bad things could happen to them.
"Now, as I hear, you have had some trouble finding what you owe," Moss Boss said.
"We'll get you what you came for, we just need-" The male rabbit said, his voice firm although his body betrayed his nerves.
"What you need," Moss Boss said interrupting, "is to understand how dangerous it can be out here for two young rabbits such as yourselves."
I saw a meme a moment ago, discussing various ways you can keep your neighbors at bay. In this case, it was appearing just slightly unhinged so they won't want to engage. :blobcatgiggle:
I laughed, it's funny, but while I was boosting and favoring it made me think about my new home. I moved in a small bit ago and I have still yet to meet all but one retiree.
No one says hello, no one stopped to welcome me or ask questions. A few have waved as they drive by and park in their garages. But they shut the doors as their cars are shutting down. I was three states away from this place a year ago and the neighborhood was much the same.
I remember when neighbors were bothersome. When you would come home and find someone sitting outside or walking their dog and they would want to strike up a conversation.
I'm curious how things will look in coming years. Will we form tighter groups with our neighborhoods, or will we further splinter, I wonder...
So, does Discord no longer allowed users to register accounts without registering a phone number?
They have "detected an anomaly" with a new account I just attempted to make and have assured me that I can quickly clear things up if I just give them a phone number.
It's interesting watching devices slowly die as businesses demand more access than anyone is willing to provide.
My devices now randomly require additional updates they never needed before. I know the excuses, but I literally helped design some of this stuff...they are excuses.
My television has been becoming more forgetful lately. I'm sure the manufacturer will expect me to simply buy a new one. I don't need a television in this room and it was just an optional piece of equipment. I have unplugged it to see if I'll notice its absence.
Consumers need to remind themselves where the authority lies.
@mentallyalex it's a little app called "Control screen orientation" that only does what it says on the tin.
You can set your screen rotation to be locked at any orientation, even 270 (reverse portrait, so the charge port is on the top), or any set of rotations.
I honestly just downgraded the app.
I've kinda close to just doing the work to either trying to get old xposed modules to work, or modify my bootloader to allow all screen rotations, as that's really the bulk of what I want: forcing screen rotations & allowing even the weird ones like reverse portrait.
@Blass_Rose I had a similar issue happen with down ranking my DAW/audio stuff.
My license was for only whole versions apparently so since they have moved from 3.9.2.25.2-7 or whatever to finally moving to 4, I need to rebuy it someday if I upgrade.
The features they offer in the new version doesn't warrant the purchase. They haven't added anything I want.
I get it, I do. I do not look the type to have the music at this volume and I am certain my enthusiastic lyrical matching is worth the cost of admission. But I really must insist, Mr. Crossing Guard, move so I may be on my way please.
