Do we even have enough helium to be using it in zeppelins though? I thought it was in shortage which is bad because it’s needed for medical and scientific purposes. Like we shouldn’t even be using it in balloons bad.
I see so many comments like this across lemmy and so little offensive content from those instances that I’m really beginning to wonder who the actual propagandists are.
Restaurants menus lacking milk as a drinking option is definitely a positive for me - I do not wish to dine alongside whatever freak chooses to drink milk with their meal.
I mean I’ve known that I’m lactose intolerant since I was 13 or something and I had to be be bribed to drink it before that so, yeah, it wasn’t hard to stay away from drinking straight milk into adulthood.
I once had to live with a guy that would go through 2-4 gallons in a week on his own and just let the empty jugs build up in (around) the recycle bin for weeks on end. Grew up on a dairy farm. Honestly I shouldn’t have to say more to tell you he was a freak.

Originally, it was being a child and not having any money of my own, and my mom getting out her wallet to enter card information on a website she had no previous knowledge of, for something she would never use personally, was a whole… thing that I can probably count on my hands the number of times it actually happened. So I stopped even asking and figured it out myself.
Edit: also, we had netflix but sometimes the shows I wanted to keep up with were still airing and I couldn’t wait.
Now, I just don’t think any company that would take my money in exchange for, generally temporary, access to media/software really deserves or needs my money all that much, and especially not more than I do. I also strongly resent that there is not a public and legal domain for things that are older than like 5 or 10 years and not actively being worked on.
uh idk about the treatments thing in general but the pink slime myth about the nuggets specifically was both circulated and debunked before 2010, and the image that was going around of it was not taken in any facility relating to McDonald’s.
You would have a point about the beef being treated with ammonia and homogenized, but according to AP, “McDonalds stopped using the by-product, known in the industry as lean, finely-textured beef, in 2011” here is their source on that
I really don’t consider myself a McDonald’s defender but the least you could do is say things that are current or even just recent and true lol
That is not what that excerpt is talking about, that is talking about a road with a middle turn lane.
The road pictured here has a median which cannot be driven over, generally there’s a kerb and it’s usually just grass on top. The center part is not for stopping in, it is only for driving through. You should not proceed unless you have a clear view of traffic from where that car is sitting on the left. In some cases there will be a white line to stop there, and in that case that is okay, but that is not what is pictured here.
I think you are entirely missing the point of this comic and misunderstanding the rules of the pictured intersection. There’s a reason these were outlawed in my state (michigan). They are a dumb way to direct traffic, the “stopping room” you’ve circled is not meant for stopping in, or else there would be far more space there, likely an entire lane of room. I’m not suggesting making blind turns. You are not supposed to proceed without visibility or merging room, hence why the stopped line of cars in the middle lane have the right-of-way as they are blocking your view of that and possibly the traffic behind them, which the person at the front of the line has almost no way of knowing. You stop in the middle then you are still blocking them for as long as it takes to merge into traffic now that you’ve got yourself in this situation.
It just does not make sense to do it that way. If you can’t make the turn left then you turn right and find somewhere to turn around, which is how our roads are designed from the jump here in michigan.
Anyways, this is a really stupid argument and I’m really not interested in continuing it.
