@matt @joshginter I totally agree. Still rocking the 2018 12.9 iPad Pro. Actually getting the battery replaced in the coming weeks because its degraded with daily use.

Based on my iPad usage, buying one today will seem like much of the same.

Migrated all of my iCloud email archive over to @protonmail. Very smooth process! Custom domains also setup in minutes. I need to explore Drive and the VPN stuff now I think!

@andyn proton mail offers a very pleasant email experience. I am still trying to work out it's place in my workflow. The VPN is solid and is probably one of the few that I do trust. Proton Drive is great on mobile but the lack of desktop apps was a deal breaker for me. Hopefully that is rectified really 🔜

@andyn @protonmail Its looking promising… however, I have found other deal breakers in the mean time.. for example, there doesn’t appear be a way to conduct a search on the Proton Drive iOS app..

Perhaps its challenging to implement search when files are encrypted.

@ljpuk From my perspective, why should I quit Reddit? Reddit management is a shocker and behaved disgracefully. However, I dont go to Reddit to support Reddit's CEO

I go to Reddit because of the people that contribute to it through their experiences, thoughts etc. I get great value out of the Reddit community and that's why, I continue to use it

Just a thought, suppose, tomorrow, you are not happy with Apple management, will you also quit Apple?

iPad users: the software is lagging behind the awesome hardware

Apple: ok stop whinging.. with iPadOS 17, we fixed what we half baked in iPadOS (stage manager) and give you multiple timers… now please let us focus on VisionOS

The media commentary is all about how stage manager is so good this year… all the other software ipad shortcomings still exist and Apple is still not prioritising those.

Cleverly, Apple changed the narrative…

I’m super excited about launching https://rad.dad. :prami_happy: It’s a totally separate thing from omg.lol, so virtually all names are available as of now. And besides being a source for the raddest email addresses and URLs out there, it also opens up opportunities for me to experiment with new features that can be brought over to omg.lol.

@andyn Still using it daily and planning to renew. Features launched in the last few months are more suited for small business users (not me) but I dig using it.

The cover art is simply delightful. I have different pictures of my son on different devices and it’s always so nice to see him smiling back at me when I open the Hey app or use the browser.
