running a docker takes so much ram!
like around 600MB! and out of my 2gb ram that's a ton.

I also run a Nextcloud docker and that's around 260MB.

(both when idle).

might have to find an alternative.
Tho at this point, coming from my home WiFi, it doesn't give all that much more privacy since I keep the same IP address.

I’m thinking of writing a small plugin that defines a cmdline mapping to insert the first-level heading, if the current buffer contains a document. The idea is that you have something in the file like

2023-09-25 Meeting Notes

and then, later on, do

:w <some-mapping>.md

which expands to

:w 2023-09-25 Meeting Notes.md

Questions:

• Does such a plugin already exist?
• What would be a good key for that? I’m thinking of <C-R><C-T>, see :h c_CTRL-R

For this usecase I wrote a little script which I call with the title as the first parameter. With that it simply creates the file with the proper heading and filename and opens it in vim. Wouldn't that be suitable for you, too?

I totally agree with the Kelsey regarding accountability and cooperation. Often enough, engineers don't really cooperate or emphasize with colleagues. They have a lot of responsibility but there is rather accountability.

Since 2018 I'm on a Filco Majestouch 2 TKL, at home and since 2021 a GMMK 1 TKL in office.
Now I've just bought from an v1, with three 1u keys in the thumb areas, no underglow or damn LEDs 😇 and Kailh White Box switches.

I've been to Tokyo store on June 30. A real paradise: they have almost everything and the clerk I've spoke with (in English and Japanese) was very kind and helpful.
I've spent 1h trying to force him selling me a showcase keyboard I've loved... but prebuilt keyboards they have "in the store are only for showcase"! 🤦🏻‍♂️ (WHY?!?!!?)
Anyway, in the end I've seen, live, the and I've felt in love with it.

Anyway, my offer stands, just get back to me. For the boards you are fancying you probably don't need the car kit but the smaller ergo kit which is way cheaper. I also only have the ergo kits - but for me 34 or 32 keys are the sweet spot at the moment.

Just installed and tried the official app:

  • the Post area, with basically spam things, is useless.
  • the Hashtag, News and For You (or however are called in English) areas don't load anything.
  • when I scroll the Community area, to load new messages, it loads them all, so I lose the current reading position and I hand to scroll back to search for it.
