considering dating again. what do women enjoy for first dates? i prefer activities like walks, museums —spaces that allow for movement and connection. i don’t like food/drinks for the first date. feels too “job interview-y”. these general ideas are inspired by esther perel & logan ury.

@skinnylatte my struggle is knowing where it’s being used for cover. as it stands i (probably infantalizingly so) give someone all the benefit of the doubt and all the leeway they need. and if they’re saying stuff i find odd i keep my mouth shut to not alienate them
Anybody understand network debugging, or the Chrome performance monitor?
I've been having a problem. We've got fiber, but basic sites like google.com or github.com can frequently take >10 seconds to load. It is as if once a connection is open I have high bandwidth, but my computer struggles to open connections. And I see this symptom on more than one machine.
I would like something to measure, is the problem:
I got the wavy hair gene from my mum's side, where almost everyone has wavy/curly hair. My curls are not as prominent, but some days it just decides "I am gonna be crazy today!"
My #hair only got like this after puberty, and before that it was typical ramrod straight and my mum would give me the China doll hairstyle (which I loathed).
Since most Chinese had straight hair this made me even more confused about my already salad cultural roots & feel less #Chinese.
